More Motorcycle Riding Adventures for a Good Cause

Paul Ehline Memorial Motorcycle Ride Journal and Blog

In the Marines, we are only as fast as our slowest Marine. When you want to get somewhere fast, everyone needs that training, spirit, and discipline! When we say, “I will be there at 19:00 hours,” we mean 18:30. When we call or text someone, especially a civilian lawyer supposedly there to protect us, we expect a sense of urgency and immediacy, not garbage, narcissistic excuses. Paul Ehline Memorial Ride is dedicated to raising awareness for wounded warriors and getting them the help they deserve, hopefully from a fellow vet with some legal experience, not some self-important academic who has never been in the real world. Take a look at our recent posts for motorcycle riders and injured vets.

Camp Lejeune Water Contamination Health Issues – What You Must Know

 |  Michael P. Ehline
Camp Lejeune is a US Marine Corps base on the east coast located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Currently, it’s part of a combined installation, so it includes the Marine Corps Air Station at New River. Its training facilities are found on the miles of beach between Wilmington and Morehead City with its deep water ports. This base is home to various Marine units, including expeditionary forces. Between the 1950s and 1980s, military service members stationed at Camp Lejeune were exposed to serious toxic substances in the drinking water. This happened in training and residential areas. Veterans at Camp Lejeune during that period could have developed specific diseases and could be eligible for disability compensation apart from their traditional VA disability benefits. These vet…

Can a Helmet Improve Survival in a Motorcycle Accident?

 |  Michael P. Ehline
When you ride a motorcycle, you tend to enjoy the breeze and the freedom that comes with it. However, helmets tend to limit a rider’s level of enjoyment and somehow take away their freedom. Helmets can feel uncomfortable, especially in California’s scorching summer heat, and some helmets may not suit your fashion preferences. Some states have no helmet laws, and others have partial helmet laws. Avoiding severe head injuries is not always possible, even with the best headgear. Although helmets do not meet everyone’s comfort level and style, they are not made for that purpose. Helmets help minimize the risk of fatal injuries by protecting the head, brain, and upper part of the spine. Helmets are one of the few options bikers have to protect themselves from other motorists and environme…

Welcome to the Paul Ehline Ride

 |  Michael P. Ehline
Paul Ehline died from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma as a direct result of his exposure to toxic chemicals used in chemicals and defoliants to clear jungle canopies in Vietnam around fire bases. Like former lance corporal, and now pastor Robert Hammond, who was also stationed at Camp Pendleton, many fellow Marines have become cancer victims. “Hello and welcome to the Paul Ehline Memorial Ride, based in Los Angeles, CA. I am attorney Michael Ehline. I am the son of recently departed Swedish Viking warrior Paul Ehline, USMC (Ret.). It’s been several years since Paul’s eternal soul left this earth. Losing him, for me, it’s been the most confusing, depressing, and calamitous of my life.” On 8-15-20, at Lytle Creek Firing Line, our Marine brothers and sisters gathered and listened to …

What Percentage of Veterans Have Cancer?

 |  Michael P. Ehline
Looking at the conditions that veterans are exposed to, anyone would assume that veterans have a higher frequency of cancer diagnosis than the general population. Cancer diagnosis among veterans of the US army was made possible by VA. This administration has allocated resources and led from the front in researching cancer and finding the best way to treat and mitigate it. Despite all the good works done by Veterans Affairs, it must not be ignored that military service members have been getting all types of cancers due to the conditions they were exposed to. In many cancer diagnoses, it becomes clear that the veterans were exposed to conditions that could have been avoided with attention to detail. The military could use more research and conclusion before using certain chemic…
